QuickStraightTeeth™

If you are one of those people who want to have their teeth fixed and corrected but are torn between metal braces and clear aligners, QuickStraightTeeth™ may just be the solution for you. It offers an innovative alternative to metal braces that most consider now as archaic. Say hello to QST Clear Braces!

What Are QST Clear Braces?

QST clear braces are a type of orthodontic system that makes use of clear, removable brackets to correct teeth misalignment. They are very similar to metal braces, however, these are more aesthetically pleasing and more discreet as they blend with the colour of natural teeth. This makes them perfect for those who want to avoid noticeable and unsightly braces while undergoing orthodontic treatment.

How Do QST Clear Braces Work?

Just like traditional metal braces, QST clear braces work by putting pressure on the teeth to shift them into the correct position. They use a series of arch wires and elastics that work together to guide the movement of the teeth for proper alignment. QST clear braces are as effective as other teeth straightening treatments when it comes to fixing bite and teeth crowding issues.

QST Clear Braces Benefits

Each orthodontic treatment has its fair share of benefits, and QST clear braces offer the following:

Almost Invisible

QST clear braces blend in with the colour of your teeth so that no one except you knows about your orthodontic treatment. They are virtually invisible when you are speaking or smiling.

Comfortable to Wear

These clear braces are made from a flexible material that is comfortable to wear and does not irritate gums or cheeks. They feel soft on your mouth, allowing you to wear them for a long time without feeling any discomfort or pain.

Quick Treatment

The average treatment time with these clear braces varies between one month to two years as it is on a case-to-case basis.

Cost-Effective

QST clear braces are known for their durability and shorter treatment time, making them a cost-effective option for teeth straightening in the long run.

QuickStraightTeeth™ Treatment Process

The treatment process for QST is simple and efficient. First, you will visit our Adelaide dental clinic to have your teeth evaluated. Our Adelaide orthodontist will present a detailed treatment plan and cost information if you are qualified to undergo our QST treatment.

Once you agree to proceed, we will then take impressions of your teeth. The mould created will be sent to QuickStraightTeeth™ to use as the basis for the treatment. New QST clear braces will be created for you to wear within the next few months.

After your successful alignment or bite treatment, our dentist will then remove your brackets and take impressions of your teeth again for your retainers. Retainers are advised to be worn at all times and for life to make sure your teeth won't return to their original crowding or misalignment issue.

FAQs About QuickStraightTeeth™ Clear Braces

There is no age requirement to receive orthodontic treatment. However, it is advised to have QST clear braces when all of the patient’s teeth are already permanent. Also, young adults are encouraged to have their QST clear braces as early as possible to avoid ending up with severe malocclusion that is hard to treat on their late adult years.

The food restrictions vary based on the type of orthodontic appliance used. In the case of QST clear braces, they are not removable when eating, thus, it is recommended to avoid chewing hard or sticky food to avoid removal of brackets or shifting of the wire.

As with any orthodontic treatment, discomfort and pain may be felt for the first couple of days of wearing QST clear braces. However, these are usually mild and temporary. For sensitive patients, these can be relieved by taking over-the-counter painkillers.

Having QST clear braces shouldn’t hinder you from maintaining oral hygiene at all times. However, because of the presence of a QST appliance, you should be more careful when it comes to brushing and flossing. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush that can reach all areas of your mouth, brush at least twice a day and don’t skip flossing. Also, it’s important you visit your Adelaide dentist every month for maintenance.
